Your first cut with MegaMow

If you’re new to our grass cutting service, you’ll want to know what happens on your first cut!  Our simple guide talks you through what to expect.

How we mow your lawn the first time we visit

What happens the first time we visit to mow your lawn will depend on the state we find in.  If you’ve been mowing it regularly yourself, we will be able to build on your good work and have it looking great with our first cut.

But if you’ve been too busy to cut your grass regularly (and, let’s face it, that’s why most of our customers use our services!) it may take us a few cuts to get it looking its best.  There’s only so much we can take off in one cut, so if it’s got too long, we will have to mow it on a high setting for the first cut or two.  If it’s really long, we may even have to use a strimmer the first time.  If it’s got some longer patches, we may be able to mow most of the grass, but strim where needed; as we don’t use mowers that leave stripes, that won’t present a problem.  Most lawns need a couple of cuts from our experts to get them into shape and take longer the first time we visit, which is why we price your first cut as a one-off cut.

To keep your lawn looking its best all the time, we strongly recommend a weekly cut so it doesn’t get out of hand again.  But with regular visits from our expert team, once we’ve got it looking great, we can keep it looking great.
