Launching a brand from nothing and going back to the drawing board, to acquiring customers and building a brand image – 2018 has been a momentous year for us. With the calendar soon coming to a close, we look back on the trials and tribulations our grass-cutting company has been through to get to the point we’re at today.
Developing a brand
The past twelve months have been a real nail biting and exciting time for us. After years in the industry, we quite literally went back to the drawing board and launched a fresh new brand from absolutely nothing. Our aim was to completely understand our target audience and build a brand that revolved around our customers. We worked with a brand development company to help us understand our customers better, opening our eyes to incorporate features into our business that make it easy for our customers. The results are more than we could have hoped for and our uniqueness in the grass-cutting industry has really shone through with our brand development. This was then translated into a proper corporate identity by a professional graphic designer, who helped create our eye-catching logo, which sums up our offering and our ambition.
British weather *sigh*
When we finally got to the stage of launching the business in March, when we should have been out cutting grass, what did we experience? Can you remember the weather in March? Yes, it snowed! Can you believe it?! Then afterwards, we had extremely wet weather (which our team battled through with our robust mulching mowers)… only to be hit by the worst drought in the UK since 1976 over the summer (before we can even remember) – during which lawns stopped growing!
Throughout this, our commitment to creating an efficient grass-cutting service for modern, busy people has meant that we have won customers. But our hard work doesn’t stop at the end of the season, we’ll be carrying out research and development to further improve our service and we’re now looking forward to an exciting 2019!
2018 has been a landmark year for us, but the weather hasn’t made it easy! We can’t wait to get back to the grind in 2019 and continue to improve our innovative service for our busy, modern customers.
